I recently received a speeding ticket in New York state, and am a
resident of Connecticut. I was clocked at going 37 mph over the
posted speed limit and need to appear in a hearing office to be
assessed the actual fine.

I would like to know:
1) How does the "points" system work in Connecticut? (i.e. how to points accrue?)
2) Will this violation in NY State transfer over to Connecticut?
3) If the violation does transfer, can I take traffic school to reduce
the number of points on my record? If so, how many points will be
taken off?

Thanks very much!
