People have been caring for their own, and others animals since the
creation of fire. What do you mean by the FIRST VETERINARIAN. Do you
want the first accredited school's graduate, or would a page detailing
the history of veterinary medicine be sufficient?

The first Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree in the United
States was awarded in 1876 to Dr. Daniel E. Salmon, who became the
first director of the Bureau of Animal Industry, currently known as
the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
