Hi!

I'd like to know if it is legal to import (and resell) pc video games
from Thailand. I am speaking about pc video games that are legally
produced by the manufacturers and that always include a cd key. They
are not copies.

The problem is that lot of times I found video DVD from Asia at very
cheap price but these are obviously illegal if sold outside asia due
to copyright laws (maybe in asia there is no copyright law and there
may be perfectly legal). Example: www.dvdhitshop.com sells DVD video
legal in Asia but illegal if imported in US or Europe. So about DVD
video, I suppose the answer is no, they aren't legal in US or Europe
if imported or resold.

So the question is:
What about pc videogames produced by the manufacturer (no copies) that
include cd key, retail box and manual (with asian writings because
intended to be sold in Thailand)? Will I be in trouble if I buy from
Thailand and resell to United States or Europe? And for personal use,
is it legal to own them? Will be any copyright stamp as the ones
bought in Europe?

Today I received the sample I asked for from my wholesaler in
Thailand. The product seems perfect and produced by the manufacturer.
But I can read on it: "Illegal if sold out side Thailand". What does
this mean?
Is there a way to resell them legally to Europe and US?

Of course the advantage is that in Asia pc videogames are extremely cheap..

Note that I am interested only in pc videogames and not DVD video.. I
posted them only as an example. I'm only interested in reselling pc
videogames in US and EUROPE.

I'm afraid if my english is not perfect but I'm italian so please feel
free to add any comment if something is not well explained!

Thank you for your collaboration,
have a nice day!
