Hi lds2

The problem would have to be the age of the
documents you desire.

The IRS requires records to be saved for 7-10
years originally, but now has revised that to
3-5 years, for auditing purposes.

Anything after that, you would really have to
come across a packrat to save that type of info.
If it was a family business, maybe one of the
owners has it stashed away in an attic or cellar.
Maybe an heir has the info, and doesn't even know
the heavy crate he's been carrying around only
has employment records in it. More than likely
they were thrown away or burned, etc. At least
the original ones. Maybe they had an accountant
or someone that preserved them.

Here are some Marin Shipyard links I found:

"Sausalito of 1942 had no idea of what was in
store for. On March 3, 1942 Kenneth K. Bechtel
along with local Marin County residents Harry
Allen, Ted Panton and Fred Boole had chosen
north Sausalito for a shipyard. The site was
ideal, located four miles north of the Golden
Gate on the shores of Richardson Bay. "

Maybe one of those guys would know? Or their
heirs.

I learned something cool from this site:

the little willows, or saucelitos, growing
along its shores"

Maybe there would be some info in Sausalito's
town hall, or public records?
