Machine vision systems analyze images of parts being manufactured for defects, measurements, etc. Usually they will instruct the machine to reject the bad parts immediately, but some simply record the data. Are there any companies offering web based image analysis where the images could be sent to an ftp site and later a report would be generated and viewable either by email or on a website. |

I currently work for a machine vision company and have been developing machine vision software for a number of years. I have thought about starting a machine vision web service on my own. Currently I do not know of any companies that offer such a service. If you could answer a couple of questions it might help me. Would you want to be able to setup inspections on your own or want a professional to setup them up? How much would you be willing to pay for such a service? Thanks, Justin |
