I live in the US and would really like to attend the Live 8 concert in
London 2 Jul 05. If I understand how the tickets were handed out for
this event, it was done through a text messaging lottery. The winners
were notified yesterday and some began putting the tickets up for
auction on EBay (UK). EBay was asked by the event organizer(s) (Bob
Geldof) to stop selling tickets on EBay, due to the fact that this is
a charity event.
My question is, what are the chances of being able to get a pair of
tickets prior to the show. I've been trying to find ticket brokers in
the UK, but have so far come up empty. The other option is to travel
to London on the date of the show and hope someone is selling a couple
of tickets (not a good plan). Do you know of any brokers who are
selling the tickets, or do you know of any way to get a pair of
tickets for the show?
Obviously time is somewhat important here, so I can arrange travel if
I do get some tickets. |
