This abbreviation can stand for "male/female/disabled/veteran" or for
"minority/female/disabled/veteran." It is commonly used in job
listings as an indication that the listing was placed by an Equal
Opportunity Employer.

Some online references:

"The UTHSC-H [University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston] is
an Equal Opportunity Employer: M/F/D/V
(male/female/disabled/veteran.)"

UTHSC-H: Equal Employment Opportunity

"UTMB is an EO/AA Employer, M/F/D/V.... University of Texas Medical
Branch is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer;
Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran."

UTMB:SCCCB Career Opportunities

Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: "m/f/d/v" "female disabled veteran"

I hope this is precisely the information you seek. If it is not, or if
anything is unclear or incomplete, please request clarification; I'll
gladly offer further asssistance with this question before you rate my
