Hello,
I have a Windows 2k3 server running terminal services. I also have a
win2k3 domain controller running terminal services licence server.
The licence server has 20 terminal services device CAL's, meaning each
time a computer logs into the terminal server with remote desktop, a
new licence is issued. Users are not given a licence, just the device
in which the log in with.
My question is: When I look at the terminal services licencing, it
shows that all 20 of my licences are taken up, while 20 "Temporary
licences" have also been given out. Does this mean that each computer
gets a licence, but 20 of those computers with licences have to be
concurrently connected for me to run out of licences, or does this
mean that after a certain amount of time people will be rejected from
being able to log on?
What is a temporary terminal services licence?
thanks
