Hello. While returning from vacation in Illinois, I received a traffic ticket for "failure to yield to emergency vehicle" in the great state of Indiana. Of course I am contesting because the officer's emergency lights were not on at the time (he had just finished ticketing another driver). Anyway, since I live in Kentucky, the hassle of appearing before an Indiana traffic court would be an inconvenience. Of course, I do not with to just pay the fine and have my license points affected, thereby raising my car insurance. Is there a motion I can file (mail directly) to the court (Honorable Judge) requesting he dismiss based on my arguments; or even reduce it to state traffic school instead of fine/points? |
