My husband received a ticket on 5/13/05 for public uriniation while visiting NYC from CA. He is happy to pay the fine, however, no fine was listed. The notice says to appear in court tomorrow (6-17-05). He obvioulsy can no do that as he is in CA. He tried to sort this matter out in person on the following Monday at the court house, but the staff there blew him off and told him he must appear in person. This seems ridiculous to me. There is no phone number or contact info on the ticket aside from the address of the criminal court where he is supppose to appear--346 Broadway NYC. I'd appreicate advice on: 1/ how to contact the court 2/ how to find out what the fine is and how to pay it 3/ what happens if we can't get in touch with the court and he misses his trial date? 4/ is public uriniation a criminal offense and will this somewhere show up on his record? Thanks! |
