Question ID: 534193
I'm looking for legitimate financial services websites to inquire with
about getting back links to my customer's website. My customer is a
large well respected financial services firm so we want good links.
Small is fine, but good is essential. I want any financial related
directories etc, plus sites about theme such as financial planning,
retirement planning, 401k, estate planning, wealth solutions, Tax
Saving Strategies, Lifetime Settlements etc.

Also, these places to get links from can be free or paid or reciprocal
- it does not matter - however we're not looking for FFAs or SPAM
sites of any kind.

Hi!

The difficulty in your question is that when you're looking for sets
of directories, eventually there will be elements there wherein such a
company is small, with questionable reputation or will probably spam
you. Weeding out such companies among sets of directories will be
fairly difficult to accomplish.

Would simple directories of financial services be enough at this point?

Thanks!

Actually, the Google Directory does a pretty good job of separating
out the wheat from the chaff, so that choosing results from the top of
listings is a pretty good way of finding reliable sites.

For instance, here's the Directory page for Financial Service sites:

and you can see the first few listing are all well-known, highly reputable sites.

There are also links towards the tops for sub-directories:
Accounting, Associations, etc. Use these to pull up additional lists
of companies to consider in any area of interest to you.

Does this sort of directory meet your needs? If not, please let us
know in a bit more detail what sort of information you're seeking.

Thanks,

Hi I agree that using the Google directory would be one thing that you
would give me within a sucessful answer. I understand I'll have to
weed them out to a degree. However, i'm also looking for a list of
sites - arrived at however you deem best - that are on topic of those
various financial terms I mentioned. They could be individual
companies, small directories or a number of things I've not even
thought of I'm sure. Of course, the real key is also sites that have
some willingness to provide us back links - paid or not. To me a
successful answer would consist of directories like you provided - yes
- but at the same time some other individual links that you've been
able to locate that match my criteria.

I hope that's clear enough. I've just found that in trying to find
sites that we can get links from for OTHER projects, its been easier
because there are always related but non-competitive categories of
website that are happy to at very least trade links. With financial
services, it seems like almost everyone is in competition and I'm just
finding that process more difficult.

Thanks

I would like to focus on non-reciprocals so those are by FAR the best...thanks

Largest affiliate programs out there are cj.com and linkshare.com. I
am sure there are more, but most are spam hungry and do not have
quality advertisers.
