Hello beaufer-ga, Virtual PC 7.01 does in fact work with Tiger. Having said that, there are some gotchas. Microsoft outlines these in a document appropriately named "Description of the current compatibility issues that occur between Virtual PC for Mac programs and the Mac OS X Tiger operating system (Mac OS X 10.4)" located at: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;899934 I have used Virtual PC under Tiger and feel it is usable enough. It's just some of the extra features like the "Dock proxy programs" and the "Dock Start menu" that don't work. I never liked those features because they give Windows a constant presence in Mac OS X. You may feel differently, but they are definitely unnecessary. Other than that, make sure you have the networking set to "shared networking" and it should work fine. Obviously Microsoft has another patch in the works to address these issues. The time frame for its release is anyone's guess. Thanks for your question, Emlyn |

The most annoying thing (for me) is that since it is an emulation software, it is still very slow. I've tried it with a Mac G5 dual running at 2Ghz with 2.5 Gb of ram, and it is slow. |
