I am conducting some research about venture capital backed companies
that were acquired by public companies. Specifically I am gathering
data to determine if companies start out as LLC's and then convert to
C-corporation. I am interested in determining at what stage of growth
do most companies get acquired.

I am investigating the following company below and want to
find the following information (items 1-14).

VPNet acquisition


1. Who they were acquired by
2. Deal type (cash or stock)
3. Deal size (dollar value)
4. Primary Venture Capital firm involved 5. The Year the company was founded
a. Was it founded as an LLC or C-corp?
b. Location of company at founding
6. The Year the company was acquired
a. Location of when sold
b. Entity Type at acquisition (C-corporation or LLC)
c. Acquired company Sales in dollars at time of acquisition
d. Number of employees at acquisition
7. CEO name
8. CFO name
9. How many rounds of financing were there and how much were they for?
10. Names of all investor firms?
11. Did the company licensed the technology-if so how much at what price?
12. Board members at point of acquisition?
a. Other board details if possible
13. Investment bank involved in acquisition-(smith barney, JP morgan, etc)
14. How much money was paid to the investment bank in the acquisition?

Having access to things like ventureexpert.com or nvca.com or other
private databases might help. Feel free to contact me for any
clarification. For anyone that completes the project by friday, June
