What does invalid partition table mean? I am getting that error
message on my computer on start up and the computer must be booted
using the Windows XP Home CD. I have bought Partition Magic by
Symantec and resized my C: partition to the minimum size of a little
over 7 GB which was the default size. I then created another
partition for the rest of the drive with a new drive letter. Please
advise as to how I can fix the problem so I don't have to boot with
the XP CD. Thanks, Victor

Read this, following that, there's a couple recommendations at the link.

Invalid partition table
http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/sys/booterrGBER31-c.html
..."Explanation: The system examined the master partition table to
determine what volume to use to boot the operating system, and found
invalid information within it.

Diagnosis: You should never see this message under normal
circumstance. One way that this message can occur is if more than one
partition is set "active" or bootable; only one is allowed to be at a
time. It is possible that the master partition table has become
corrupted..."

Let me know if this is helpful...
