I am planning to go to Nice, France to study in September through december. I am thinking about studying the intensive program at Alliance Francais. However, I have never been to France before. I would like to live in a shared appartment with other French students in Nice. I have lived in a family on a language exchange program before, and this time I would rather live with people my own age. What should I expect to pay for a room in a shared appartment? Is Nice a big student town, and would this be easy to obtain? What would be the best way of obtaining it? I would not mind living in a hostel for a few days while looking for an apartment. How is the general price level in Nice? Any help (with answers to all the questions above) will be greatly appreciated. |

My Advice Get some temporary accomodation as you suggested. Then frequent some of the English style bars near the beach (you will have no problem tracking them down) Get to know the barstaff and they should have no problem in steering you in the right direction. (These places may even be avertise for student rentals) Regards DPRK007 |

Hi, My name is Sylvie and I spent a linguistic stay in Nice with an organism which calls "PERSONAL FRENCH TEACHER",the staff is really great, French courses are very efficient and the accommodations that they offer ( host families or apartment rentals )are cheap.Email them for my part, they will send you pictures of accommodations. Have a good stay in Nice Bye bye, Sylvie |
