Question ID: 534871
I am seeking basic information concerning the following accounting firms:
1. ArthurAndersen.com (Arthur Andersen LLP)
2. Deloitte.com (Deloitte & Touche)
3. EY.com (Ernst & Young)
4. KPMG.com (Peat Marwick)
5. PWCglobal.com (PricewaterhouseCoopers)
6. HRBlock.com (H&R Block)
7. JacksonHewitt.com (Jackson Hewitt Tax Service)
8. LibertyTax.com (Liberty Tax Service)
9. ExpressTaxService.com (Express Tax Service)
10.Econo-Tax.com (Econo-Tax)

What I would like to know on each firm is as follows:
1. What services they offer?
2. What they charge? For individuals as well as businesses?
3. What the process is for having the services rendered?
4. The timeframe expected for each of the services to take?
5. What software the company uses to have the services completed? Is
it all in-house or is some out-sourced to other companies and if so
which companies do they use?
6. What qualifications/experience does the employee/company have for
carrying out my work? Is consulting included?
7. Do they offer help in obtaining licenses/registrations for the
businesses? As well as their prices.

I am offering $50 upon completion of the entire list of questions
answered correctly for all the accounting firms. I will tip
accordingly up to an extra $20 as I see fit and depending on the
quality of work provided. I expect each firm to have the 7 answers
listed orderly. I understand some firms are not around any longer or
may be hard to contact and therefore I would like to know their
answers had they still been around.

Hello kemiclyimbalncd-ga,

You've asked for 70 pieces of information for $50 -- $70 if you
include the promised tip. Ressearchers get 75% of the question price.
I doubt that anyone will consider this project worth taking on. I also
think you'll have a much better chance of getting an answer if you
post a separate question for each of the companies you're interested
in.

I know you've used Google Answers before but it might be helpful to
you to review these links to maximze your results from Google Answers.
Good luck.

Dear kemiclyimbalncd-ga,

You said: "I have raised my List Price and would like to have one
person work on it ASAP."

My two cents.

You seem to have missed the major point of my earlier clarification
request / feedback. The fee you're offering might be interesting if
you priced each collection of seven questions at $70, i.e., posted a
separate $70 question for each of the 10 companies. $70 for 700 pieces
of detailed information is not an attractive (or reasonable) price.
Maybe some other researcher thinks differenty.

Good luck.

I am only seeking 70 pieces of information. I feel $1 a question is a
reasonable amount. Depending on the work provided back a tip will be
given accordingly as I see fit.

You are asking for very sweeping information (no.1), and the answers
to some questions cannot be provided without having an actual case
(nos. 2,3,4).
The software that they use (no.5) may not be a company secret, but
they may not feel that it is something they want to reveal to the
public.
They may also feel that the qualifications/experience of individual
employees should be immaterial to a client - even more so to a
non-client - since the company bears the responsibility for the
results of its work.
