Question ID: 535124
We are trying to find a removable dog run contractor/business. We
want similar to the removable pool enclosures but not mesh since the
dogs will eat it. Aluminum would be best and it would be some what
ornamental. One end of the run will be attached to our wood property
fence and the other would need to attach to our garage. We live in
the Modesto CA area. Any ideas?

No, we don't want a kennel. We want to create a run using the side of
our house/garage with removable fencing and a gate at the open end.

Hi msherrill,

What is the distance between the two points?

Thank you,
tlspiegel

Fencing should form an L (completing a recentagle with the other L
being our property fence and garage). From the garage, distance
should be about 13 feet (4 feet of this should be a gate for easy
access). At the corner, the rest of the fencing is about 10 feet to
attach to our property fence).

Hi msherril,

Thank you for the distance information. This will help me, or any
other researcher who attempts to find a solution for you.

Hi msherrill,

Just a thought, have you considered an electronic fence?

Yes, we have looked into electric fencing as well. One of our dogs
runs right thru the shock to freedom! Thanks anyways.

Hi msherrill.

Have you considered livestock fencing? It's designed to keep dogs
OUT, rather than IN, but the principle is the same. Because people
usually need to cover large areas, it's relatively inexpensive and
lightweight. The kind I'm thinking of is an electric woven net, with
either 12" or 6" squares.

Here is an example of what I mean:
