Question ID: 535207
I'm looking for an aftermarket add on for my car that will let me open
the door without anything extra to carry around (no key, no remote).

It could be fingerprint, iris, or voice controled, but most likely it
seems like it would require a code to be entered on a keypad. I have a
code lock like this for my home, but can't find anything made
specifically for cars.

It need not control the engine, just the door. I can keep an ignition
key in the glove compartment or something like that.

Thanks!

Keypad Keyless Access System Installation Overview

?A keypad keyless entry system is typically installed on the drivers
door. It operates from the vehicle?s battery and can unlock the
vehicles doors. Optionally the trunk can be opened and the interior
lights turned on. In addition, a keypad system can be installed on a
vehicle that already has a remote controlled entry system and used in
either mode: keypad or remote. That?s important since you may need to
gain access to the vehicle without having your keys, or give access to
your vehicle to a child, a friend or a service technician without
turning over your keys?

Hey,
I went to the site www.automobile-security.com.

I also found keyless entry in the form of " Remote control whcih is
opearated by your fingerprint"

Fingerprint remote control for keyless entry to car,I was wondering if
it also starts the car remotely too?

Does it mean that fingerprint verification is more secure than RF code
or Radio frequenct transmission.

Le tme know if anyones has answers to this feature of keyless entry.

Hi,
Your question is interesting. Yes its true that fingerprint
verification is more powerful and secure than mere RF code or Radio
frequency transmission.

The fingerprint keyless entry is always more secure than normal
Keyless entry systems because of the folowing reasons.

1) A normal factory built keyless enty systemfor cars with RF code can
be defeated easily.

2)RF CODE scanning devices which are usually avialable in the market
can learn the hopping codes. Thus normal keyless entry systems can be
defeated easily.

3)In fingerprint keyless entry system, the fingerprint signal is
transferred through RF mode. Thus no hopping code is involved and
fingeprint images are in distorted form. Thus the encrypted image
cannot be retrieved.

So Fingerprint Keyless entry systems are more secure than normal Radio
Frequency (RF)keyless entry systems.

Hi,
Is RF Keyless entry system more convinient and easy to use as
compared to Fingerprint Keyless entry system.

Hoping someone shall answer this.

Hi buddy,
Fingerprint keyless entry system is more easier and
convenient compared to RF keyless entry system for the following 3
reasons.

1)In fingerprint keyless system you do need to carry any physical
object to open the car door.
You simple walk to the car door and swipe your finger on the
fingerprint scanner mounted on car door.(which works in all weather
conditions).
Thus access is granted in less than a second.
Now in RF keyless system you are carrying a RF transmitter or RF keyless system.

2) If RF keyless system is lost along with the keys then you may not gain access.
In case of Fingerprint keyless system their is nothing to lose neither
a key nor an object so you are granted 100% access.

3)Moreover a fingerprint keyless system allows the driver to grant
access to 10 people or 10-fingerprint at any given time where as in a
RF keyless system one needs to go to the car dealer to get a
replacement or new RF coded keyless system if its lost.

Well am hoping I have made an attempt to answer your
question.(Spelling errors corrected)

Hey,

If you want a keyless system, in my opinion the best you can choose is
a biometric system. There are different kind of biometric systems. By
the moment the most robusts and effectives are the fingerprint
scanners.

This is a link to a page of an Indian company who use South Korean
technology for developing a car system like you want.

http://www.bioenabletech.com/fingerprint_car_lock_immobilizer_alarm.htm

I don't know the product, but yes the South Korean technology used.
