I am looking for any press coverage of a conference in Portland
Oregon, March 12, 2005, entitled ?Bringing Produce to the People: A
Sustainability Summit.? It was held at the RiverPlace Hotel in
downtown Portland. A press story was writen by Marnie McPhee and it
was hosted by Organically Grown Company (OGC), the largest wholesaler
of organic produce in the Northwest. It may have ran in Capital Press
(Oregon), Ecotrust, Eugene Register-Guard, Eugene Weekly, In Good
Tilth, National Coop Business Journal, Natural Foods Merchandiser, New
Farm, Oregon Natural Step Network, Organic Style, Provender Alliance,
Snail - Slow Food, Sustainable Industries Journal, Sustainable
Northwest, Utne Reader, or Willamette Week. I would like to locate web
links to any stories mentioned in these or any other publications or
journals.

Hello santabarbara:

Thanks for the interesting question.

I believe I have located the article you mentioned by Marnie McPhee:

Toward a Regenerative Agriculture
URL: http://www.organicgrown.com/sustain/articles.html
Quote: "On March 12, a new 'sustainable' or 'regenerative' agriculture
moved closer to reality. It will transcend today's best organic
practices, creating a waste-free cycle, from field to store to table
and back to field."

I cannot find any other online press that this event received, other
than excerpts of the above McPhee article.

I hope this helps.

There are a few other web mentions of the meeting, though I'm not sure
all of them qualify as "press":

It's also possible to search news databases for additional sources.
If any turn up, we can always provide citations for the articles,
along with brief excertps, but we can't provide the full articles
(they're copyrighted), nor can we provide links, since they weren't
found on the web in the first place.

Let us know if any of this is of interest to you.

Any news coverage links would be great. I have already tried Dialog,
Nexis, and Factiva.

The client pointed out that the article was printed on the web at
http://www.tilth.org/IGT_files/SustainabilitySummit.htm. I listed that
site in my question. Can you tell me why that site was not searched?
The article shows up on the home page.
