Where can I find a company or choice of companies that will sell metal
outside trash can lids that will cover a 17 inch diameter metal trash
can? I have two trash cans and the lids have been stolen. I can' find
a local store and I can't
find an online retailer that has them!! please help! The lids have to

Hello rxmike-ga,

Is this the style of trash can you're looking for? If not, please post
an example. What price range are you intersted in? A 17" lid seems to
translate to a 20 gallon can. Please let me know if I'm on the right
track. Thanks.

Wow, I could not even find a picture on the internet! Impressive! To
clarify the question the first link you sent me
(www.housewares.hardwarestore...)is the picture of the trash can that
I currently have. Price is not an issue as long as it's not something
ridicolous. Links to 2 or 3 websites will be fine. Thanks again!!!!!

Hello again rxmike-ga,

I?m glad that I?ve found the right model of trash can for you. Where
do you live? (City or zip) As you can see from the listing that has
your model trash can, they only sell locally. This might be OK if
you?re in the right geographic location.

I also need more information about what is your budget for a price
that?s ?not something ridiculous.? How much is ridiculous? The trash
can from the link I gave you is $30.99. It might be more reasonable to
simply buy new trash cans than to find lids. I haven?t been able to
find a source yet for lids sold separately.

I think I?ll be able to help you but before I do more searching I need
to know your price limits and location. Thanks very much.

Hello again rxmike-ga,

Thanks for getting back to me with your budget and location
information. I think we can wrap up this project. I?ve found several
sources of galvanized steel 17? trash can lids to fit your 20 gallon
cans for a price that meets your requirements.

I?m also wondering if it makes sense to buy just the replacement lids
instead of buying new cans for almost the same price. I?m listing all
your options and I hope you will soon have a source to keep you
supplied with trash can lids in case your new ones disappear too.

Good luck.
