Do Data Modelers report to the Architect in a Database consolidation
project? Or would they work directly with the Analyst under the
supervision of the Project Lead?

I'm sure there's an answer if you're talking about theory or best
practices.  In the real world, it depends.  You just cross your
fingers and hope nothing blows up.
