I'm trying to find the size of the 'spectator sports travel'
marketplace (in the USA or Internationally). For example, how much
money is spent annually on trips to major sporting events like the
Superbowl, Daytona 500, World Series, regular season road games,
etc...

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks.

supersst,

The U.S. spectator sports travel market is worth an estimated $44.5 billion.

According to Lisa Haller, President and CEO of GCCVB, ?This move
further strengthens our ability to capture our share of the

bobbie7- I'm really only interested in the spectator sports travel
marketplace. The articles that you have referenced are referring
mainly to participant sports.

I'm specifically looking for information regarding travel to the major
professional sporting events as a spectator, like the Superbowl, World
Series, Masters, etc.....

I´m delighted that I finally located the exact information you asked for.

I checked the website and unfortunately I did not find information on
the research leading up to those numbers.

Perhaps if you get in touch with someone at the The Sports Business
Journal, they could provide you with further information.
