Where can I find a list of professions or types of business in the
United States that tells me how many people are in each profession ? 
For example, I would like to see a list like :
 (#'s are made up)

Attorneys : 800,000
Doctors : 600,000
Police/Firemen : 400,000

of Labor Statistics, from where you can extract the information that
you require ? depending on how detailed you require your list to be.

On this link select>2002 employment
Click >continue
Then select occupation
Select total all industries or select industry
Then click search.

For instance, in 2002 there were 63,033 actors.
