I've bought an external LCD monitor for my laptop (HP Pavilion notebook zv 5000).After a little while I realize that I bought it too big("19).Sitting at front of "19 screen for a few hours it's kind harsh for my eyes.Just like been sitting at front of TV set a couple feet away.So I decided decrease the viewing area on my external monitor (like having screen in the screen).I went to NVIDIA program, then I found out what I wanted - NV Keyston option and I decrease a viewing area the way I wanted to.I noticed right away that the fonts, icons, images look blurry, not clear enough.I played with it - I switched to a lower screen resolution, switched to a lower bit color depth and I tried couple other things yet.Nothing helped, just made it worse. There is my question - is this normal that after decreasing viewing area whole picture has less video quality or is this something wrong with my computer? | |

Nothing is wrong with your computer. When you are lowering the resolution on a monitor like that it makes you view the same resolution but in a smaller viewing area. No matter what resolution you put it at it will be distorted because of this change. The same effect will happen when converting your screen resolution to another device. If you were to put out you computer to your tv it would have the same effect |
