manufactured by Torrent Pharmaceuticals in India.

It seems Torrent Pharmaceuticals is a solid company with a good
reputation, so the drug *should be* just as safe as Plavix...

safe in which condition? every drug has a side effect. so trick is u
have to take it in a recommended dose which varies for different
medical conditions. the basic salt in deplatt is 'clopidogrel' which
is an antiplatelet agent (platelets helps in blood thrombus
formation)... so ultimately it thins out the blood which might be
useful in conditions such as myocardial infarction and stroke.

 usual recommended dose is 75 mg tablet, once daily.

gastrointestinal bleed might be a complication in few.
