The entries occur when I right click in the Google window in Mozilla
Firefox. It drop a menue which is like a history of sites visited.
This is what I want to be able to delete. I can delete from the normal
bookmarks folders by the methods you describe, I am sorry I did not
make this clear in the first place.

Hi al9875,
Aha! You didn't want to delete bookmarks! OK... here is what to do -
Delete History
Firefox has a nice History manager. Click on the Go menu at the top of
Firefox and select the History option. There you can categorize your
history, and you can also search through it to delete.
(If you do a lot of browsing, you?ll have tons of data in here, and
the search feature just makes it easier to track down something you
visited before.)
Once you find the link that you want to get rid of, just right click
on it and select Delete. Not only will the link be gone from your
History folder, but it?ll also be eradicated from your address bar,
too. Make sure that you track down all instances of the page in your
History in order to properly remove it.
==========

Hi tlspiegel
Sorry, your answer deals with Mozilla Firefox history, not google
history which is the subject of my enquiry. I have google toolbar in
Mozilla Firefox. Double click left hand end of google toolbar, using
right hand mouse button, drops a list of sites visited in google. This
is what I want to edit or delete. If I preently click on any of these
historic entries google inserts it into the google toolbar window
ready for selection. The problem is the list grows daily and I cannot
reduce it. Can you help please.

Hi al9875,
To clear your search history from the drop-down text box on the Google Toolbar:
Click on the 'Google' logo to access the drop-down menu.
Select the 'Clear Search History' option. This will clear all the
previous searches from the drop-down box.
Please note that this only clears the search history from the Google
Toolbar, which is entirely separate from the search history stored by
your browser.
Best regards,
tlspiegel
