Question ID: 536280
I was in Seattle a month ago and show a show on either Saturday or
Sunday morning in MSNBC (I think). The theme of the show was small
business makeovers with experienced entrepreneurs as guides. The host
was a guy with an Arabic name I believe. It was excellent and it
appears to be a series but a quick look on the web didn't turn up
anything. Maybe you'll have more luck. I'm looking for the name of
the show, the host and contact info . Thanks.

Could the guy with arabic-sounding name be "Richard Laermer"?

I see where you're going with this, but no this is definitely not the
guy and definitely not the show.

To clarify a bit: There is a host , but the experts are REAL business
people (not professional TV folks) who happen to have experience in
the industry of the person who is getting the 'makeover.' It's a
different set of experts for each show.

The show is not hyped is very well done.

I'm pleased to have been able to help you identify your show as "The
Turnaround." I have gathered some information about it for you.

"Small business owners get the personal introduction of a lifetime, as
CNN?s newest program pairs them with the biggest names in their
industry for advice and guidance. The Turnaround begins Saturday, Feb.
26 [2005].

CNN?s Ali Velshi will host the hour-long weekend program, which will
air from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (ET) on CNN/U.S. For the premiere, John
Paul Mitchell Systems CEO, John Paul DeJoria, will provide small
business improvement tips to a hair salon in Valencia, Calif. The
Turnaround marks the third business program CNN has added to its
weekend schedule, following the Feb. 5 debuts of Dolans Unscripted and
Open House.

For The Turnaround, Velshi will profile a small business owner and a
high-profile mentor as they develop a plan for success for the small
business. Over the coming weeks, the featured company will come from a
range of industries, including fitness, fashion, food, hospitality,
automotive, retail, construction and other businesses, giving viewers
an up-close and realistic look at the day-to-day life of a small
business owner. The program will deliver valuable life and business
lessons to a broad audience."
