A quote from CBS news online: "Three days after the terrorist attacks
[on 9/11/01], the Senate voted 98-0 and the House voted 420-1 for a
resolution authorizing President Bush to use "all necessary and
appropriate force" against those responsible for the terrorism."

I am wondering who was the one representative who voted against?

Hi timespacette,

Barbara Lee was the one representative who voted against the resolution.

"The U.S. Congress September 14 approved a resolution authorizing
President Bush to use "all necessary and appropriate force" against
those responsible for the September 11th terrorist attacks on the
United States.

The U.S. Senate voted 98-0 for the resolution, and the House of
Representatives voted 420-1 later that night. U.S. Representative
Barbara Lee, a California Democrat, voted against the measure."

"The Senate voted 98-0 early September 14 to give Bush the authority
to exercise "all necessary and appropriate force" against the
terrorists, their sponsors and those who protect them. The House of
Representatives spent five hours debating the war powers authority
before voting 420-1 late September 14 to authorize full use of force.
U.S. Representative Barbara Lee, a California Democrat, voted against
the measure."

It's be interesting to see which two senators did not vote.
