I want to know, if?,how? and why? iron contamination in automotive
engine coolant would cause failure of the water pump.
What would be the failure mode? Would the iron particles cause
bearings in the pump to fail and if so how? OR Would the failure mode
be the water pump bushings or maybe cut seals ...what ever the cause
of failure by iron i would like to know if it is the iron particles
themselves and what size they are 5 microns ,50 microns, 100 microns
or what? OR is it the iron going into solution and causeing
contamination.
