I have found that Spanish speakers in the USA more often than not use
the common English search engines....Google, Yahoo, AltaVista than the
Spanish language search engines. However, there are numerous entirely
Spanishspeaking countries where English is not such an influence.
These folks would use the exclusively Spanish language search engines.
(Look for "buscadores" or "busqueda" in Google.

Below are the top Spanish language search engines,( and others I have
used), plus an excellent health information search engine. I almost
always use Google as my starting point. Both Google and Yahoo allow
you to choose your search by country, which is a very useful feature.
As you probably know, Spanish is spoken differently in each country,
even in each region of each country! A search for “franela” (which is
t-shirt in Venezuela) may turn up nothing in Mexico, but a search for
“playera”(t-shirt in most of Mexico) in Venezuela would probably turn
up beach-related sites. As far as pay-per-click, you would have to
check each site. I found that Yahoo does have pay-per-click.

Yahoo is by far the most used Spanish language search engine, and has
pay-per-click...scroll to the bottom of the page to choose by country.

Yahoo, Alta Vista and Google rank 1,2,and 3 respectively, Yupi,
Starmedia, and doble are 4th, 5th, and 6th per this marketing site:

Yupi is a very commonly used site, that allows you to search by
country.

I'd guess that the popular English-language search engines are used
more for Spanish-language searches than are any of the exclusively
Spanish-language engines, but I couldn't prove it. In any case, here
are two directories of Spanish-language search engines:
