I'm looking for an example of a large corporation, preferably not a
software company, that has achieved business benefit by adopting a
standard New Product Introduction process / Project Management process
thoughout their IT organization. I am not interested in examples of
companies implementing project management software, but rather am
looking for a business that adopted a standard framework for
introducing new software and has been recognized as a successful
leader because of this endeavor. I am not looking for an in-depth
analysis; just a starting place, such as an article in a business
magazine that mentions a particular company achieving benefit by
improving their IT project management process, or a case study. Also,
this company must be a company other than General Electric (I already
have information with respect to GE.)

Specifics I am looking for:
What do they claim as their business benefit?
What about their project management or new product introduction
process was notable? (This doesn't need to be terribly in-depth
either, just at the level that a business magazine might describe)
