Can you please find me a piece of freeware, shareware or commercial
software that will support the typical online popularity contests,
often done for blogs?
It would allow surfers to nominate a site in one of a very large
number of categories. A nominated site can then put a link on its site
encouraging surfers to click on the link to vote for that site.
The site with the most votes, wins.
So, to say it again with different wording:
This is an ASP or piece of installable code that permits a sitemaster
to have a poll that allows nominations of the best in a certain number
of categories. Once nominated, a nominee encourages others to vote for
her by posting the link on her website or in mails. Click on the link
and you're one step away from voting.
The software makes it easy to nominate new people or to vote for someone. |

I've got a number of leads on several pieces of software; I'm just
waiting to verbally confirm with the manufacturers that they can do
precisely what you outline. I should have them by tomorrow. Are you
interested in these as an answer?
