In what year was electricity installed in average homes in
medium-level American metro regions (i.e.: Hartford, Tallahassee)?
When was it installed in major cities (i.e.: New York, Philadephia)?
What was the socio-economic class difference? In other words, was
electricity present in rich areas years before average or poor areas?

Let me just narrow my question to:

In what year was electricity installed in the average
(socio-economically speaking) homes in either Hartford or Tallahassee?
When was it installed in the average homes in New York or
Philadelphia?

Yes, it was in rich houses before poor, but electricity was often seen
as "improper" or "Devil's magic" and many would not use it.

Buffalo was one of the first cities to get electricty because of its
close proximity to Niagara Falls. A starting place in your research
