At one time, I came across a research figure which said that X% of
search engine searches do not retrieve the correct information because
the creator of a page had used different, but similar terms to
describe the same information. Can somebody provide a reference to the
figure X e.g. in a research paper or presentation?

Did you read this research online? Is there anything else you remember
about the research paper, any terms used, approx what the percentage
was, when you read it, etc...? Any detail, no matter how small may
help in finding this document.

It was certainly online, and I think part of a powerpoint
