Good morning mathom-ga and thank you for the questions.

Without a doubt, there are many lawyers you can talk to who specialize
in junk fax cases and violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection
Act (TCPA)

The Federal law passed in 1991 known as the Telephone Consumer
Protection Act makes it illegal to send any material transmitted via
facsimile that advertises the commercial availability or quality of
any property, goods, or services which is transmitted to any person
without that person's prior express invitation or permission. If the
fax was deliberately sent to you, federal law entitles you to recover
a minimum of $500 and, depending the judge's discretion, up to $1,500
for each such fax that you receive.

Public Law 102-243:

US Code Title 47, Section 227 :

)

FCC Regulations:

Additionally, these websites might be of interest to you:

Junkfax.org

( http://www.junkfax.org/fax/basic_info/attorneys.htm ): This site
lists attorneys in your area who might be able to help you.

tcpalaw.com

I hope this answers your question. If you would like clarification
before rating my answer, please do not hesitate to ask and good luck!

If you are in the U.K., register your fax number with the Fax
Preference Service at http://www.fpsonline.org.uk/fps/. I used to get
10 junk faxes per week. Since I registered, I have received none.

You can also register your phone number, or your address (and there is
even a baby-related mail preference service) at related sections of
the website. There are corporate versions of all these services if you
run a business.

I use Fax Recovery Systems, Inc. (www.faxrecoverysystems.com) service
to track down the junk faxes I receive. Best of all FRS pays me
$100.00 for each junk fax for which they can obtain a settlement. (I
just received my third $100 check yesterday.) There is no charge for
their service.

The new Znti-Fax law - S.714 was signed july 2005 by G.W. Bush -
overrides the TCPA and has effectively destroyed TCPA?s effectiveness.
G. W. Bush signed this law to help real estate agents who want to spam
fax their listings. It now seems that the fax spammers feel they have
virtual freedom to do what they want because of this law that Bush
signed becaue they can site ?opt-out options? and previous
relationship clauses in the new S.714 july 2005 Bush law. Thank George
W. Bush for you fax spam, because the FTC, the FCC and do not call
list will not stop them like the OLD TCPA was doing.

Has anyone sued a fax spammer since the 2005 fax spam law was signed?
Have you been getting more fax xpam since JULY 2005 - EVEN IF YOU DO
NOT HAVE A FAX MACHINE? this law has ot be repealed, massive lawsuits
initated, and people jailed before the fax spam will subside.
