We're looking for what I think is a fairly simple software
application. We're going to be managing a data entry where we want to
be able to add items to a queue through a web-based interface and have
one of our data entry people log on and see what's in the queue and
enter it into the system. The data will be book-related so we would
need the capability to enter a small amount of information (e.g.,
title, author, URL, notes). We would also like the ability to assign
a priority to the item and for the data entry person to be able to
sort based on that priority (in order to be able to do the
highest-priority items first).
We have our own server which we can install this application to. I'm
guessing there is a probably a software application (ideally
open-source or inexpensive) that could help facilitate this. However,
I'm not aware of one off the top of my head. If anyone has any ideas
or suggestions, please let me know.
