You seem to be a collector. All one wants is a very good
fully-restored complete version of Welles' magnum opus in whatever
format. Why would one want an old vintage scratchy print of it?

It has forever been the opinion of many that Welles's masterpiece --
commonly hailed as the greatest movie of all time, imdb-be-damed -- is
best viewed in the cinema. Additionally, plans are in the works for a
40's gala where the film would be the center event of the evening. I
have access to a little independant seven-screen theater and proper
licensing will be obtained.
