I was in a car accident and the other drivers insurance has accepted
liability. I'm bringing my car in to be repaired today. My question
is; will the insurance company cover a rental car and how much will
they cover? The car that is being repaired is a 2003 Saab 9-3, so I
feel I should be able to rent an Intermediate-class car (Chevy
Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire or similar) and have it covered since this
is a roughly equivalent car to the one being reparied. The insurance
company in question is Bristol West

Call your insurance agent and ask.

What you're really asking is whether you're entitled to be compensated
for the "loss of use" of your car while it's being repaired. And you
are. But it's like any other kind of damages -- sometimes you get it
by demanding it, and sometimes the insurance company makes you go to
court to get it. You are certainly ENTITLED to it, for a reasonable
period of time.
