In Pretty Woman, there is a very short shot of an office building with
a large red, metal, modern sculpture in front of it. It seems like
several arches in a public square. This shot is right before we find
out about the source of Morris's money and right after Julia Roberts
returns from her (now successful) shopping trip. One can make out a
333 on the front of the office building. My question is: which
building is this? I _think_ it's in NYC, and I wanted to confirm
this. Thanks!

The building is the ARCO Plaza in Los Angeles (also known as the Bank
of America Plaza).

"ARCO Plaza...
 333 South Hope St
 Los Angeles, CA
 US, 90071

In 1972 ARCO commissioned AC Martin Powers to design these twin towers
- 52 stories of serious gray. The building houses the ARCO
headquarters as well as one of the Bank of America offices. Outside on
the plaza is a red helical sculpture called Double Ascension by
Herbert Bayer. Underground there are seven acres of shopping and
eating establishments, a church, a fitness center and a post office.
It is indeed a mini-city."

"ARCO Plaza... walk around its gardens, as this is where Julia Roberts
read a book with Richard Gere in 'Pretty Woman' and the building is
where his business deals took place (recognize the red, metal
sculpture in the front?)."

My Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: building 333 sculpture "new york" OR "los angeles"

Google Web Search: "arco plaza" "pretty woman"

Google Image Search: double ascension bayer

I hope this is precisely what you need to know. If this is not the
correct building, or if anything is unclear or incomplete, please
request clarification; I'll gladly offer further assistance before you
rate my answer.

Another enticingly misleading subject: "Pretty woman shot?"
Subject just had to be about a lesser known mystery film; Arsenic
asking, Pinky - as always :-) - answering.
Wrong shot, right answer!

Myoarin,

I had the same misconception based on the ambiguous title. I was
expecting a question about somebody trying to assassinate Julia
Roberts.

This reminds me of a newspaper headline in the "Tulsa Tribune" many
years ago, when a short movie about Wild Bill Hickok was filmed in a
small town in my area. The newspaper story was titled "WILD BILL
HICKOK TO BE SHOT IN SAPULPA." My daddy looked at this headline and
said "Hey, didn't they already get him in Deadwood?"
