Question ID: 538737
I need a list (url's) of providers of restaurant loyalty programs as
well as a breakdown of the most popular types (i.e. buy 10 get one
free). I'm interested in programs targeted to Quick Service
Restaurants (QSR), Fast Casual and Table Service restaurants (in that
order), with emphasis on QSRs.

Hi!

Since you asked for providers, is this a good example of what you need?

Thanks!

Well, that site mentiones loyalty programs but doesn't give any
details. I'm interested in websites that actually spell out their
programs and firms that specialize in that. The goal is to get an
understanding of what others in the industry are doing, so the URLs
should be to pages where the specifics, if any, are listed. Thanks.

Hello, jroll,
I have done a bit of preliminary research into your question. While I
might be able to come up with a list of restaurant loyalty programs, I
don't know how many I can actually find for you. What would be an
acceptable number of links?
Also, I have found absolutely nothing relating to programs ranked in
terms of popularity. Is this type information essential as an answer
to your question?
Let me know what you think, and whether these are the types of
services you are seeking:

RewardsNetwork (formerly idine.com)

hotel rewards and credit card loyalty programs. By offering members
rich rewards for doing the things they enjoy most, we successfully
drive business to our thousands of participating merchants across the
U.S. and Canada."

The key information is the actual loyalty program itself, with any
relevant link. So this might not just be companies that provide
loyalty programs to restaurants, but could also be info published on
the programs restaurants are running themselves. I think 5-10
different types of programs would be good, and it's not that important
to know how popular they are, but getting a quick description for each
with a relevant link is all I need.

jroll9-
Excuse my confusion. Were the three references I provided a good
example of what you are seeking in terms of an actual loyalty program?
Am I on the right track with that info, at least?

Does this type of information work as well?

More about the program: "Red Lobster to Upgrade Loyalty Program," by
BETH NEGUS VIVEIROS. Direct marketing Business. Jul 1, 2004
http://www.directmag.com/mag/marketing_red_lobster_upgrade/
"When people sign up for the Overboard Club, they get a double opt-in
e-mail that reaffirms what the club is about and asks them to reply to
confirm their membership. Special-occasion coupons are offered, like a
free appetizer or dessert on a member's birthday, or $5 off a meal.
Red Lobster tracks the response rate of its online initiatives by
following the redemption rates of those coupons, as well as monitoring
the clickthroughs of banner ads and spending online for products like
live lobster deliveries.
The average monthly response rate for the $5-off dinner coupons is 7%
to 8%, while the free dessert coupons are usually in the 5.5% to 5.76%
range. Recipients only have a 15-day window of use from when the
coupon is sent to when it expires. Sixty-two percent of the
redemptions come in within 48 hours."

The links you provided weren't exactly what I was looking for because
they didn't specify the actual program, but what you've found with the
Red Lobster info is. Ideally you could condense each program down and
then link to the full info so it's like:

Red Lobster: Win dinner for 2, Birthday free dessert, vacation give-away

Hello, jroll9-ga!

I have compiled some links to various loyalty or reward programs
offered by fast-food and higher end restaurants. Many of the fast-food
franchises seem to be going the way of email loyalty programs, while
some are using electronic cards which accrue points and rewards for
each dollar spent. The higher end restaurants have more varied rewards
programs, as you might imagine.
