I am looking for compiled data on foreclosures in the Southern
California marketplace from 1975 to Present. In need the aggregated
monthy amount of NODs (notice of defaults) and the number of those
that were not cured and were actually foreclosed. I need this data by
month and broken out by counties as follows, Orange County, Los
Angeles County, Ventura County, San Diego County, and San Bernardino
County. I am ideally looking for an excel file, but will accept text
or comma delimited. The data should be as follows:

(example layout, numbers are made up)

NODs
Date,Orange County, LA County, Vent County, SD County, SB County
Jan-75,456,256,345,415,515
Feb-75,486,260,325,215,522
and so on..

Foreclosures
Date,Orange County, LA County, Vent County, SD County, SB County
Jan-75,256,56,145,125,215
Feb-75,212,102,321,156,453
and so on..

Thanks,

Dasnich

Can this be done? by anyone?

I suspect this involves a visit to each county office to sift through
old records, and even then, I don't know that the numbers would be
available.

I've never seen anything remotely similar to these data available online.

You can purchase a long-term foreclosure trends report for any state
that looks like this:

http://www.mortgagebankers.org/marketdata/data/04/3050%20-%2016%20-%20S.pdf

and covers the present data, back to 1979.

Is this useful for your needs?

My needs are very exact and the report will not provide much benefit. Thanks.
