past few years.  It makes me feel good to be appreciated be a

I have said this before, but it bears repeating: you are one of the
finest non-GAR commenters we've ever had. For years, you have
displayed erudition, diligence, courtesy, and good humor on Google
Answers. If ever anyone has earned his way into being a Google Answers
Researcher, it's you. I hope to see you on the team some day.

Regarding your question about how I acquired such a wide range of knowledge...

For more than fifty years, I have been a voracious reader and an
enthusiastic consumer of movies, television programming, and music. My
mind seems to be like a big sponge that automatically sops up stuff,
and every now and then I can give a squeeze to retrieve data that was
stored for no particular reason by a brain that views the text on a
cereal box as being of equal import to the works of Plato.

I am blessed indeed to be able to earn money with my trivia-hoarding
tendencies. Who'd ever have thunk that the countless hours I spend
entertaining myself with books, movies, radio, and teevee shows would
ever lead anywhere other than to the unemployment line or the looney
bin? :-D

I enjoy GA because my day job is as a librarian.  GA actually helps me
refine my research methods and allows me the satisfaction of helping
to answer questions.  Of course it would be an added bonus to get paid
for it but I'm fortunate to not have to rely on it.

I've read many times that GA is your primary source of income because
of various health issues.  I hope that one day you can get the
recognition and pay that you deserve for your research ability. 
Meanwhile, please continue to entertain and amaze us with your
wonderful answers.

Many thanks for the five stars, for the generous tip, and (especially)
for the kind words. I have been rather discouraged lately. You've
perked up my spirits. And nobody likes having droopy, flabby spirits
