I need to know the exact date and time that "F1 Retail Holdings PLC" was wound up, called the receiver or whatever they did that caused my shares to become worthless. ANY info on what happened to the assets would be useful too. It was a UK company and it vanished or died or disintergrated or imploded on or about 7th February 1997. If I can get the exact circumstances I may get some of my money back and that means a BIG tip!! ANSWERERS - DON'T lock this question and freeze out others whilst you think about it. Last question locked for 34 HOURS and NO answer. | |

I think what you provided is the best I'm going to get. I've written to KPMG so there may be a light on the horizon! Now then; If I had got back my invested capital, I would have paid a nice bonus! As I'm now skint I can only be minimalist! Thanks for your help. Dave. |

Dear oraccomp-ga, You said: "ANSWERERS - DON'T lock this question and freeze out others whilst you think about it. Last question locked for 34 HOURS and NO answer." I'm currently working on a question that I've had locked for a couple of days. I'm not just thinking about it. It's a tough question and requires a lot of digging. The more I've dug, the more new angles I've found. The customer will get a good answer. Since they didn't say there was a time limit, I haven't been concerned because it's taking me several days -- I have to eat and sleep too. ;-) I'm glad you indicated that you want an answer quickly. Customers frequently set explicit deadlines. This is very helpful. I've seen questions where there was no hint of a deadline and then the customer dinged the researcher for taking too long. In other situations, several different researchers had the question locked in quick succession. Each had to do the basic research only to come to the conclusion that the question was not answerable. Frequently, researchers ask for clarification but don't get a response for days, or ever. As you can see, the Google Answers mechanisms sometimes lead to questions taking longer to get answered than you, the customer, think is reasonable. Believe me, researchers want to provide quick answers. There is ample evidence that some questions get answered almost instantly. Each case is different. It's very helpful if you tell us what research you've completed when the search is a tough one. The more you can tell us, the better we'll be able to guage whether an answer is possible. As a fairly frequent customer, I hope we can keep you happy and make the experience better and better as you develop your own toolbag for getting the best possible answers to suit your specific situation. We're all learning together. All the best. ~ czh ~ |
