what were his committee assignments (including any chairmanships)?

John V. Lindsay was a member of Congress from 1959 to 1965, when he
became Mayxor of NYC.  He was strong on civil rights and very
outspoken against the Vietnam War, but I didn't find anything about
his committee work in Washington.

But it must be on the web somewhere...
