Question ID: 539786
Every time I open a certain excel spreadsheet, the security warning
about macros appears. I deleted all the macros in that spreadsheet a
long time ago. Is there any way I can prevent the warning from
appearing without trusting the author of the macros?

I'm looking for a solution that will let anyone else open this
spreadsheet without the warning appearing, too.

Likely, it's just not all gone like you think it is.
Try these suggestions:

Thanks; this seems to have done the trick! Why on earth should an
empty VBA module trigger a warning, though? That just seems lazy on
the part of the programmers...

To any passing researchers: no answer is now required, as a
non-researcher got there first and solved my problem.
