Hi slosid7, The actors who played the Russian Ambassadors in the two films, "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" (1964) and "The Hunt for Red October" (1990) are two different actors. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb Peter Bull .... Russian Ambassador Alexi de Sadesky http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057012/ ========================================= The Hunt for Red October Joss Ackland .... Ambassador Andrei Lysenko http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099810/ I hope this is helpful. Best regards, Rainbow |

You may however be interested to know that Joss Ackland who played the Russian ambassador in "Hunt for Red October" also played the role of a High Ranking Russian official (Marshal Zelentsov) in ANOTHER movie about a Russian Submarine i.e. K19 The Widowmaker. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0267626/ Regards DPRK007 |
