Greetings! I located a few price guides you may purchase that include
Dunhill and Dupont vintage lighters. Bookbasket in the UK offers two
books which include Dunhill lighters:

Cigarette Lighters
By Stuart Schneider & George Fischler. Cigarette lighter collecting
has quickly become a very popular hobby throughout the world. Here, at
last is easily accessible information of over 500 lighters illustrated
in colour. They are shown in alphabetical order and by date within
each company, and they include Dunhill, Ronson, and Zippo, as well as
many more. Hardback 285x220mm. 176 pages.

Miller's Smoking Accessories, A Collector's Guide
By Sarah Yates. This easy-to-use, practical guide offers an ideal
introduction to this increasingly popular field and is an excellent
starting-point fot the enthusiast. Covering topics as diverse as clay
pipes, Chinese amber snuff bottles, novelty vesta cases and Art Deco
Dunhill lighters, this guide gives you the know-hoe to become a
confident collector. With colour photogrpahs of over 150 pieces and a
price guide for each item shown. Softback, 210x150mm, 64 pages. ISBN
1-84000-187-9.

I then went to Amazon.com and searched both these titles and they are
available there (see links below that include prices for the books).
From that search, two more price guides were revealed, "Collector's
Guide to Cigarette Lighters" and "Cigarette Lighter Collecting Volume
I".

When searching for a Dupont price guide, the Kovels book was
mentioned. It is a book of numerous antique and vintage collectibles
and has a lighters section. Many people collect the Kovels books as
each year new items are featured and I also located an online Kovels
lighter section where you may find prices (see links below).

In the same search for Dupont price guides, I found Curioscape.com
which listed numerous links to lighter collecting clubs and sites.
You should be able to network with members to discover many more
items, prices, etc concerning lighters. The links there were:

The International Vintage Lighter Exchange
http://www.vintagelighters.com/
A fantastic source of vintage and new lighters for the cigar or
cigarette lighter collector & enthusiast from such famous companies as
Dunhill, Ronson, Zippo, Evans, Scripto, and many others.

Spark International
http://members.aol.com/intspark/
Web Site of international vintage cigarette lighter club Dunhill,
Ronson, Thorens to Zippo

Another site from that search led to three more price guides which
appear to be recent:

Concerning repair of cigarette lighters, I searched many phrases and
found people who repair vintage lighters but no repair manuals. I
just searched "dunhill lighter repair" and "dupont lighter repair" -
if there is a manual that exists for repair, the following list might
help you find it - you might contact them and inquire if they have one
and if you could purchase a copy:

As for catalogs and searching the other phrases, Spark International
kept popping up so I would think that organization is a great resource
for vintage lighter collectors. I hope this information is of
assistance and I enjoyed researching your question.

You might try asking other collectors for advice. Newsgroups and
online forums can be excellent sources of information.

As an ex-smoker, I decided to liquidate my two Dunhills several years
ago, and I saw quite a few Dunhill-related posts in the
alt.smokers.pipes and the rec.collecting newsgroups.
