What is the minimum required time that a DPS officer must give someone
who gets a ticket to show up in court in Texas?  I got a ticket on
6/10/05 and I was scheduled to appear on 6/25/05

There is no minimum time by law. Court dates are normally set by the
prosecutor or court clerk and that date is used until enough cases are
set to fill that available time slot - then a new court date is put to
use and so on throughout the year.
