Thanks for the interesting question. 

I have found the perfect list of fastest growing technology companies
in North America. They have split these companies into the following
categories:

* Communications/Networking (e.g., STSN, Choice One Communications, etc.)
* Computers/Peripherals 
* Internet (e.g., Google, PriceGrabber.com, etc.)
* Life Sciences
* Semiconductor/Equipment
* Software (e.g., Magma Design Automation, Taleo , etc.)

Obviously, you would like me to include the "Software" category in my
further research. However, before I start combing through these
results for new European office opportunities, I'd like to know
whether you'd like me to include the "Communications/Networking"
and/or "Internet" categories.

Personally, I'd be tempted to include the "Internet" category, but I
don't know the precise reason(s) why you are interested in this
research.

Please let me know what you think, and I'll start working on the
"Software" category in the meantime.

Hi Websearcher,

Many thanks for taking a look at my question.  Just as some
background, I work for an economic development agency, representing a
region in the UK.  We are always looking for North American companies
that are growing, but have not yet made the jump to Europe.  They may
have resellers on the ground or local partners representing them, but
at some point they will be looking to set up a physical office ?
that?s where we come in and support them.

My priority is to look at Software companies, however, the other
categories are of great interest to me as well.  If I could have the
top 50 software companies with out a European office, along with some
companies from all the other categories, except for life sciences ?
that would be a bonus for me. I know that?s extra work, but I?ll tip
to $50.00 for the max out at $200.00.

"Technology Fast 500 North America", a very influential ranking of the
500 fastest growing technology companies in North America, put out
annually by Deloitte:

So, that's 122 possible candidates for a European office. Not all of
them are necessarily going to be appropriate to contact, but trying to
determine that myself would have quadrupled the amount of time I
needed to spend on this question (which has already been
*considerable*). However, i think this is an *excellent* list with
which to start!

Overall, I've examined about 250 of the 500 companies in this Deloitte
listing. If you want, I can look at the remaining companies and find
those that aren't in Life Sciences and also don't have a European
office. The fairest way to do that, I think, would be to create
another similarly priced question and make sure that it is stated to
be *for websearcher-ga only*. Let me know if you're interested.
