I am looking for a printer which can be used in a stand alone, unmanned, kiosk. Requirements are: - Print full color - Handle large size (8.5 x 11) paper - Cheap per/sheet So far sounds like any off-the-shelf ink-jet printer would do, right? Here's the harder part: Has a LARGE paper tray (300+) pages Does not require frequent ink replacements Does not jam Basically, what I'm looking for is an industrial strength ink-jet printer I think, or perhaps someone that customizes/ sup's up regular inkjets to allow for more paper and larger cartridges. Thanks! |

Skyhook, Another good source of kiosk information is this trade association of kiosk hardware and software manufacturers: kiosks.org http://www.kiosks.org/ Browse through their kiosk product categories: Solutions http://www.kiosks.org/prod.html Links to their featured manufacturers: Features http://www.kiosks.org/feat.shtml Post questions to their discussion forums: Ask The Experts http://www.kiosks.org/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi You can also fill out an online request and kiosks.org will pass it along to their members: Request for Information http://www.kiosks.org/rfp.html Hope this helps, Huntsman |
